RV Vacations in Diverse and Gorgeous Maryland
Maryland is known for being one of the smallest states in our country, but many of our RV extended warranty customers have told us that this small state really packs a punch when it comes to RV travel. Maryland spans an area of about 12,406 square miles and is often times referred to as “Little America” as it features many of the topographical features found elsewhere within our country. Maryland’s geography contains everything from sandy beach dunes, to rolling hills and mountains and wet marshy forests. The wide variety in landscape means that there are many fun and unique things to do per each topographical zone. So if you are looking for the perfect RV getaway for you and your loved ones, then Maryland may just be the perfect fit!
Although Maryland is the 9th smallest state in our country, it is actually the 19th most populous. Interestingly, Maryland boasts the highest median income in the entire country and the state really reflects that fact by taking such good care of its state parks and other state attractions. A good example of a well-kept park is Assateague State Park, the only park that can be found along the ocean front. Assateague features over 350 campsites situated along the sand, so it’s perfect for RVers. While enjoying the beautiful scenery of the state park, you might even chance upon a wild herd of ponies that are known for residing in this area. The ponies make for a breathtaking spectacle that offers a unique chance for some quality photography, but be sure to mind your distance as these majestic creatures are wild and undomesticated.
When traveling along Maryland’s coasts, be sure to set some time aside for Ocean City. Ocean City boasts a wide variety of events and entertainment for the entire family, so it’s an ideal destination for a group RV vacation. The sand in this area is known for being white and powdery, perfect for lounging and relaxation on the ten mile long beach. The famed Ocean City boardwalk is 3 miles long in itself and features free movie nights, games, and fireworks on various days of the week. Maryland may be small but there are dozens of RV repair facilities to choose from in the area. It is imperative that RV owners are constantly aware of the repair facilities in the area just in case of an emergency. With an RV warranty from Wholesale Warranties, trips to the repair facility will be as breezey as an RV trip through Maryland!
