The Grand Canyon–easily the most visited attraction in Arizona–sits just 20 miles north of the city of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon is a product of millions and millions of years of water erosion, and the beautiful result attracts nearly 5 million visitors every year. Many of our motorhome warranty and travel trailer warranty customers travel to the Grand Canyon every year to take in one of the seven natural wonders of the world. However, we will warn you that during summer the average temperature is upwards of 110, with winter bringing a dusting of snow that accentuates the colors of the canyon. Try visiting during spring or autumn for more temperate weather.

Another colorful display of mother nature can be found about 75 miles north east of Flagstaff at the famous Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. The Petrified Forest was a lush green forest millions of years ago, but is now a desert of ancient petrified trees. The Painted Desert is also a great destination for RVers, and travelers of all kinds. The Painted Desert spans about 160 miles, and displays a multitude of colors ranging from lavender to cyan. The beautiful landscape of different colors gives this desert its colorful name.

Flagstaff itself is the largest city in Northern Arizona, and sits at 7,000 feet, making it one of the highest elevated cities in the country–something for our RV Warranty customers to remember when considering a route to take up the mountain! Blazing summers, colorful autumns and snowy winters make Flagstaff a great place to experience the extremes of the four seasons. So hop in that motorhome, maybe even bring along the ATV for some desert riding, and head to Flagstaff, AZ.
