Florida RV Travel Destinations

Easily the most well-known destination for RVers, Florida boasts tropical climates and gorgeous scenery to please visitors of every kind. Florida is the top destination for a group of RVers known as snowbirds–these are RV travelers who spend half of the year spread out across the country, but migrate to Florida during the winter months to bask in the sunshine and warm weather. The Sunshine State is also home to some of the greatest leisure activities in the country, including a vast selection of manicured golf courses and miles of pristine shoreline to visit. In fact, there is no place in Florida that you can visit that is more than a 90 minute drive from the ocean!  With all of these qualities found in a single state, it’s no surprise that our Florida RV Extended Warranty customers make up a large portion of our client base.

Florida can be a wonderful place to visit with your family as well! The state houses some of the largest and most exciting amusement parks in the country, from Disneyworld to the new Harry Potter-themed park, and there are plenty of RV parks to house you during your visit. For those retired couples traveling the states in their motor home or travel trailer, Florida is also a place to indulge in your leisure hobbies–namely: golf! Western Florida offers some of the best year round golfing in the country. Tampa and Naples are best known for their beautiful and abundant golf courses, and welcome tons of Snowbird Rver’s every year. For the history buffs, Southern Florida will satisfy their search for fun facts with points of interest related to the Spanish discovery expeditions. Even more, Florida has a variety of rare and beautiful wildlife to show off to its visitors.

Something to keep in mind when traveling to Florida is that the RV parks closest to the water are also going to be much more expensive, and the “close” in “close to beach” may be a matter of opinion. Either way, when heading out to Florida in your RV this winter make sure to pack up the golf clubs and sun tan lotion, and prepare for a great time!
