Hi, I’m Amanda—solo traveler, DIYer, and the creator of Dusty Trail RV. I grew up on a Midwest farm where self-reliance, resourcefulness, and a deep love for nature were a way of life. In 2005, I started traveling solo and over the years I have made the leap from renter to homeownership to RV living and everywhere in between. After years of remodeling my own home and working in emergency response, I sold it all, bought a truck and travel trailer, and set out to build a life on my own terms.

Dusty Trail RV is where I share what I’ve learned along the way—from troubleshooting water systems in the middle of nowhere to finding peace in the simple, mobile lifestyle. My background in emergency management gives me a unique perspective on preparedness, safety, and problem-solving—skills that translate directly into everyday RV life. Paired with years of hands-on DIY experience, I’m passionate about helping others feel confident taking on their own adventures.
