Badlands National Park is located in the Southwest corner of South Dakota, and boasts colorful canyons, spires and buttes that are the result of harsh rains and freezes throughout the area’s history. The Badlands are not just home to great rock formations, however, as they also play home to majestic wildlife ranging from bighorn sheep to foxes and bison. There are 64,000 acres of Badlands to explore, so you better get moving! There are two main campgrounds in the park that stay open all year to accommodate your motorhome, travel trailer or 5^th wheel, and the views from these campsites are simply not to be missed. An RV trip to South Dakota would not be complete without a journey through the Black Hills National Forest!
