Glacier National Park, Montana RV Travel Ideas

Covering over 1,000,000 acres of land in Montana is Glacier National Park, one of the top destinations for RVers in the United States. The park boasts 12 major lakes and over 700 small ones–most have not even been named! Many of these lakes are colored an exquisite turquoise due to the natural elements within them, and they truly are a sight to see. A note to our motorhome warranty customers: there are certain size limitations on vehicles allowed to drive through the park, so you may want to use your tow vehicle if you have one. Only seven of the park’s 13 campgrounds accept RV’s (motorhome, travel trailer/5th wheel) for camping, so do research and plan ahead if you’re looking to spend extended time at the park. Additionally, the RV Campgrounds in the area are secluded and not equipped with hook-ups, so this will be a truly nature-oriented boondocking experience. The winter season is known for constant, drastic weather changes, so be prepared for snow and sun when you visit these gorgeous mountains.
