Slide-out, front brakes, motorized step, replaced master lock assembly.
Krenek’s estimate and invoice system are archaic and difficult to read and understand for both their employees and customers. They use hand written notes which do not get entered into the computer. Estimate notes/info are included on the final invoice which makes it impossible to truly understand what was completed in full vs simply originally estimated. The information that the staff provides vs what the fine print on the final invoice state are often different.
The slide-out on my RV was laboring and not moving in and out properly. There is a wear mark on the carpet inside and the outside fascia was becoming damaged. The Service Manager said the stoppers and fascia needed to be replaced. Although instinct said this was not the issue/solution, I said nothing because they are the ‘experts.’ I was told that they did this work. While on a trip, the slide-out stopped working altogether and slid out while I was driving (there is no E stop on this slide out). The gear box had finally broken. The fine print on the invoice says that the stoppers could not be replaced/added and the fascia was re-bolted on.
The front breaks were replaced and now always make noise that is heard 7-8 cars away (not just after rain, etc. but, always when driving, cruising, slowing). The motorized step was sticking and moving in and out at will. Twice, they said that they cleaned and lubed the step. It continues to not work properly. The fine print on the invoice notes it was just lubed. The operating system was never checked.
Last year, Krenek repaired the master lock. It continued to not work. This year, they replaced the assembly. It now sticks and the screws have loosened several times.
While the staff is very nice and wants to be accommodating, they are disorganized and because the computer system is so confusing, never really sure what is done, has been done, is going to be done, etc. I do not believe that the Service Manager has any mechanical experience as he never understands the specifics of the work being suggested.
