Change oil and filters and lube chassis
Work done as requested, in a timely manner but about $250.00 over given estimate. Extra Charge due to having problem changing engine air filter. Had to remove duct work to access Air Filter.
Total for Job, $560.00+
Estimate given was 250.00 to 300.00 plus another hundred if Air Filter needs changing
Initial preventive maintenance on Freightliner chassis and Caterpillar C-7 engine.
Absolutely unsatisfactory! Caterpillar manual calls for 19 quarts of oil for shallow sump engine with filter change. Empire charged for (and I believe added) 30 quarts of oil to the engine. It cost me another $153 dollars and 6 hours to have the excess oil drained in Nashville. My Jeep Liberty and the rear of my motorhome were completely coated with engine oil from the blow-by tube before I could get the excess oil out.
One thing in Yuma was trying to find a place that would take care of our 4 problems. None would. This place would only work on the oil leak.
Was repaired. Have put on several hundred miles and so far so good.
