It’s unbelievable how quickly another year has passed us. While the time has moved quickly, I have taken this opportunity at the holidays to reflect on just how much I have to be grateful for, and how proud I am of this past year in the life of Wholesale Warranties.
2019 has allowed us to reach a new benchmark in terms of clients we have been able to help, affiliate partners we have teamed up with, and new and improved programs we have been able to offer.
Eligibility Update: RV Warranties for RV Rentals
It has always been our goal to offer coverage to every type of RV traveler. Most recently, we sought to expand our coverage options to include the ever-growing number of RV entrepreneurs who use their RV for business purposes and/or rent out their RV for additional income. There has never been a greater opportunity for individual RVers to own the rig of their dreams and make money through “Airbnb” style rental sites. It has long been our goal to help serve this expanding community and give these clients access to protection against the ever-increasing cost of breakdowns.
After years of patiently waiting for this opportunity to be large enough to warrant a contract revision, Wholesale Warranties has introduced a first of its kind policy, allowing RVers to rent and earn income from their RV, all while protected from the cost of inevitable RV breakdowns. This coverage is available for most all makes and models, both motorhome and towable RVs, new or used. Not only are we able to offer coverage, but we’ve also been lucky enough to team up with companies like RVshare, the largest of the RV sharing websites, to help spread the word about these new opportunities available to the RV rental community. Never has there been so much upside with so little downside for those RVers looking into this type of opportunity.
Reintroducing the Viking Protection Plan
In addition to our extended eligibility for RV business owners, we have also revamped our top-selling private label program, the Viking Protection Plan. This program offers several levels of coverage, including the top-of-the-line “Elite” plan, which is the most comprehensive in the industry. Our Viking Protection Plan has always been a leader in coverage and customer service. In 2019, we worked to make the contract more straightforward and clear-cut. By minimizing the jargon, we’re able to offer one of the most digestible contracts on the market, allowing RVers to make informed and confident decisions with their purchase.
Additionally, we teamed up with a new administrator for this coverage. The administrator is the company you will file claims with, so we are constantly seeking the best in customer service. We’re very excited to be teamed up with this company on this policy, and we’re confident our customers will feel the same.
At Wholesale Warranties, we never off a “one size fits all” policy. It has always been our goal to match each individual RVer up with a coverage option that fits who they are, and what their needs are as an RV traveler. In 2019, we continued our work in customization by allowing customers to elect for RV Roadside Assistance coverage separate from their warranty policy.
Previously, like most other warranty programs, Roadside Assistance was built into the contract but was relatively limited in the coverage provided. We have always felt we could better serve our customers by giving them the option to pick and choose the coverage that makes the most sense for them. By removing this limited roadside coverage from the policy, we can now allow RVers to pay for the coverage they truly need. All RVers should have RV Roadside Assistance, and we offer an affordable plan that provides extensive coverage and unlimited towing. You can learn more about this program here.
Ultimately, the thing I feel most proud of as we wrap up this year can be summed up by the incredible teamwork I have seen throughout 2019. When I say teamwork, I don’t just mean our employees, but rather everyone involved in making Wholesale Warranties work. This includes our incredible staff, the customers who have entrusted us with protecting their life on the road, our partners within the RV industry and community, our vendors, and suppliers. These groups are all interconnected to provide us with the coverage, feedback, support, and even criticism that helps us grow and continuously improve our service to the community at large.
