There are many ways to spend the most “loved” day of the year, and with an RV, you have the opportunity to plan the best romantic outing possible. With a home on wheels that can take you almost anywhere, get a little creative and show your special someone you care! To give you a little Valentine’s inspiration, here are a few ideas:
Visit a Nearby City
Sometimes it’s nice to get cleaned up and out of the RV once in a while, especially for an occasion such as Valentine’s Day. If you’re on the road/fulltiming, do some research on nearby towns to see if there’s opportunities for activities. If at home, pack up the RV and take your significant other to a nearby destination that’s suitable for a quick weekend trip, or extend it for longer! Visiting someplace new keeps things exciting and will make your Valentine’s Day one to remember.
Plan a Picnic
If you decide to “stay in” at your campsite, stray from your regular activities and do something different. Find a hiking trail or scenic vista in the area and surprise your special someone to a picnic! Gather up cheeses, a special bottle of wine, and enjoy the view.
Make Their Favorite Meal
Nothing says love like slaving over a teeny stove in your motorhome to make a meal for your sweetheart! Try and gather ingredients for their favorite meal, especially if it’s one that is rarely made. You can even add some Valentine’s flair to your gourmet RV dining experience, with making a chocolate or strawberry inspired dessert, or better yet, both!
End the Day Right
Once dinner is over, keep the festivities going! You can choose from many things, such as watching the sunset from an overlook of your RV! Sunsets are already romantic as is, but are even better on the “day of love”. If your site permits, you could finish your day with a nice, intimate campfire. Gather some firewood, a cozy blanket, and reflect on your amazing day together! Of course, you should also show your home on wheels some love, so settle in, cuddle up, and watch a movie.
