How an Inspection Protects Your RV Warranty Purchase

When you’re shopping for an RV extended warranty plan, you’re probably doing your research. It’s a good idea to compare warranty companies, but you shouldn’t just stop at pricing. You want to make sure you’re getting good, reliable service as well. It’s important to know that all reputable warranty brokers will require an RV inspection on pre-owned and used units prior to signing your contract. Sometimes, people will see this as an unnecessary hassle. However, this step in the process protects your RV warranty purchase. Here’s how.

No Risky RV Warranty Waiting Period

Some RV warranty brokers do not require an inspection. Convenient as this may seem, this could cost you. Some companies will have a waiting period after you have already signed a contract. This waiting period is typically a month long AND an additional 1000 miles on your odometer. That means your RV is unprotected after you’ve already paid for your policy.

If you face an unexpected breakdown during this period, your policy administrator will not cover repair costs. With Wholesale Warranties, there is no waiting period; your policy becomes active immediately upon signing the contract.

Your RV Warranty Should Save you Money!

If you have a used rig, an RV inspection will provide you with a clean bill of health. If there are existing problems, the inspection will provide an official diagnosis for an issue or issues you may not have otherwise been aware of. You can then address these problems and move forward. If you’re in the process of purchasing your RV and issues are discovered during the pre-warranty inspection, you can work with your dealer or seller to have them fixed prior to driving off the lot!

When making a claim with a broker that requires an inspection, an administrator will have a tough time proving an issue was pre-existing to your contract, as you have the clean bill of health at policy sign-up to refer back to. You shouldn’t have to pay for a covered component when you’re paying for a warranty plan!

With Wholesale Warranties, we keep the inspection process as simple as possible. You don’t have to bring your RV to a repair facility—we’ll send a mobile RV inspector to you. Once the inspector presents us with a clean bill of health, you can sign your warranty contract.
