Fall crept up on us this year, but we can no longer deny that October has arrived, and brought with it a heavy dose of pumpkin flavored goodies and leaves changing color all around. There are so many ways to celebrate and enjoy the fall season, and we think having an RV makes it that much better! Here’s our tips of making the most of the RV lifestyle during the month of October:
They don’t call it a “home on wheels” for nothing, so decorate it like one! Small changes can be made to make your RV feel like a fall wonderland. Invest in some fall scented air fresheners and scope out the dollar section for some fall themed décor. For nature buffs, really get in tune mother earth and collect fallen pinecones to use in crafting and DIY decor!
Now that your RV fall décor is complete, it’s time to see what that RV kitchen is made of! Incorporate pumpkin or apple spice flavors into your favorite recipes, such as making pumpkin pancakes or a baked apple dessert! If you’re traveling to or staying in an area with accessible apple orchards, branch out and pick some fresh apples to make your dishes even more authentic!
Whether you’re on the road or in your hometown, seek out the local pumpkin patches and plan a fun outing. These are great opportunities to pick out a pumpkin, shop homemade jams and foods, and even venture into a corn maze. This is an enjoyable and affordable way to get in the fall spirit.
If a corn maze doesn’t cut it, take a ghostlier approach and do a haunted tour! Not only will this give you a dose of history in your current destination, but you’ll also get the adrenaline rush of spooky stories and sights along the way.
